what i was refering to in that gif was to those that say it because they think its cool or something. they piss me off because some people actually are bisexual and they dont just dont it because it seems like everyone else is. or when they say that they are but theyve never kissed both someone of the same sex or loved someone of the same sex and the opposite sex.. when they just say it but never act on it. yes while 13 is when people start to sexually develop it doesnt mean that they should go off saying that theyre this or that theyre that when theyre not even sure, just say that youre not sure and dont label yourself. its offensive to those individuals that actually are bisexual and arent just going through a phase as some people claim bisexuality to be. im sorry if i offended you or anyone else.
So you can’t be a thirteen year old who think’s they are bisexual but then turn out not to be? It’s bad to apply a label to yourself if you’re not going to make a lifelong commitment to being bisexual? Christ on a bike, can’t people just develope, grow and change in their lives without being judged?
I think it’s ignorant shit heads that pepetuate the myth that bisexuals are confused/indecisive rather than young people coming to terms with who they are or pretending to be bi.
Also how are you an authority on if someone is “really bisexual” or not? Surely the actual person who is claiming to be bisexual knows their own mind better than you. Even if they believe they are bisexual for only a few weeks, during that time they are bisexual because they identify as such and shouldn’t be looked down on for realising later on that they’re not.
“You’re just doing it to be cool” is another big load of crap that most actual real enough for you bisexuals get at some point in their lives, and from where I’m standing as someone who used to identify as bisexual, it’s just something made up to undermine a person’s sexual identity. This “just the ones who are lying” crap is carrying on these sexuality policing myths.
Also do you realise how fucking hurtful it is to say people need to act on hir attraction to truly be what they are? That’s totally invalidating the sexuality of everyone who’s not yet been with all the genders they are attracted to - thanks for that. Seriously I doubt you are telling thirteen year olds they’re not really straight because they haven’t kissed someone or been in a hetero relationship. I haven’t been in relationships with anyone apart from cismales but I know full well I am not straight.
